Outside of my academic pursuit, I enjoy giving back to my community through voluntary works. I am also into photography and have won a competitive award.

 

Volunteer Experiences

I have worked as a voluntary ESL teaching at Operational Read, a local English education center in Lexington Kentucky that offers free ESL courses. During my three years with Op Read, I have had the unique opportunities to connect with local communities as well as embracing a diverse culture.

My volunteer experience can be traced back to college. I have volunteered at EXPO 2010 in Shanghai, China, among a variety of other volunteer works.

2017. “Finding Lost Childhood”.

I took this award-winning photo at a demolished site where my childhood home was located. As a part of the latest city planning, a great number of “Shi Ku Men” has disappeared.
